Nova is a 9 month old German shepherd, who is Mr Fairclough's family dog. Nova loves being made a fuss of and loves chasing after sticks.
A therapy dog is a dog that is trained to provide affection, comfort and support to people. Research suggests dogs are sensitive to our emotional states, as well as our social gestures, and they also can communicate with us using complex cues such as gaze alternation.
