Mental Health Awareness Week KS2 KS3 KS4 - Pupil led choice of physical activities saw pupils throw themselves into dodgeball, beat the goalie and mixed pupil and staff team football, releasing feel good hormones reducing daily stress and anxieties.

Willow Bank Wanderers 10K Run - Tatton Park

Staff team "Willow Bank Wanderers" completed their second 10K run of the season, on Saturday 13th May at Tatton Park in Knutsford. The next event in their illustrious running career to be decided - watch this space.
Y11 Pupil Led Bearings Lesson

Year 11 working collaboratively to solve problems involving bearings in Maths today. Pupils related this topic to their experiences of travelling by boat and/or plane and attempted some mixed exam style questions in preparation for their forthcoming GCSE examinations.
KS4 Cross Curricular Bread Making Process

KS4 pupils in Food Technology studying the cross curricular bread making process looking at the Science of yeast - rising and fermentation. Pupils researched savoury bread options and chose a sweet banana bread. Pupils customised their bread by adding chocolate chips or sultanas.

Year 9 Chinese Food Taste Experience

Year 9 are studying China in Geography and have been looking at culture and Chinese food. Pupils made their own side dish - fried rice or egg friend noodles and then sampled a range of different dishes during their "taste experience.

Year 11 pupils are exploring Italian pasta dishes. Pupils researched the different types of sauces to complement pasta dishes - choosing to create a bolognaise sauce. Next lesson pupils will prepare the sauce independently using their creation to make a Lasagna dish.

Pupils' explored the 5 senses grounding technique 5-4-3-2-1 of touch helping to regulate emotions. Pupils used plasticine creating an object of their choice - a multi-coloured snowman and birthday cake for a family member.

Y8 have developed their skills using charcoal to create African maps. Learning about Ancient Egypt pupils created the African continent using metallic acrylic paint to reflect the opulence of Ancient Egyptian art and artefacts.

Key Stage 2 pupils have been studying living things and their habitats in Science. This week we have been looking at human life cycles. Pupils described how humans are set apart from other species, as mammals, and the different stages they go through from birth to adulthood.
