KS2 pupils opted to play rugby during Children's Mental Health Week.  Using our new equipment participation and structured training promoted mental wellbeing and positive relationships. A big thank you to Created By Rugby League World Cup 2021.

Day 5 of Children's Mental Health Week saw pupils experiencing a therapeutic session in our new sensory room, creating an environment where everyday distractions are removed and relaxation and concentration are promoted. 

Day 5 of Children's Mental Health Week saw staff relaxing with a choice of activities - yoga session, sensory room experience using the laxman goggles, and a nails pamper session to promote wellbeing.
 

Key stage 3 pupils have been developing their ceramic and design skills during children's mental health week to produce their final emoji characters.

Key Stage 3 pupils visited the Chill Factore in Manchester during Outdoor Education. Pupils focused on developing their

• stance
• balance
• walking uphill
• weight distribution

as well as having fun.

Year 9 have been learning about tessellation art and the links to mathematics and optical illusions. Pupils explored MC Escher's tessellations and created their own tessellated fish designs. They explored organic and geometric line and pattern to add detail to their fish backgrounds. 

Day 4 of Children's Mental Health Week saw KS2 pupils developing their freestyle Tic Tok dancing routines. Dancing improves your

Day 4 of Children's Mental Health Week saw Key Stage 3 pupils taking part in a music session with St Helens Music Service, relieving stress and promoting relaxation and wellbeing feelings.

Day 3 of Children's Mental Health Week saw Key Stage 3 pupils and staff taking a visit to Cop Holt farm in Newton le Willows. Pupils learnt how to care for horses - feed and groom them, whilst experiencing the calm and relaxation benefits of being around animals.

Day 3 of Children's Mental Health Week saw some KS3 and KS4 pupils and staff taking part in their own Chess tournament.

Key Stage 4 pupils focusing on their sense of balance and confidence at Awesome Walls in Liverpool. Developing sustained use of hands and legs to support the climber's balance and weight allowing them to traverse the climbing wall overhang during Outdoor Education.
